Slowly
Painfully
I
I am dieing
I walk the world
Trying to please
But only getting in the way
Annoying people
Getting hit
Punished
For things I never did
Every night I cry
Until I sleep
Waiting for winter’s keep
To freeze my heart
But it always tells me
‘Your heart it too big
I can not freeze it.’
So out again I go
Getting hurt
Punched
Kicked
Bitten
Until I can take it no more
I walk up
To the top
Looking over the edge
People scream to stop
Police afraid to rush
Provoking me to my death
What they don’t know
There is nothing they can do
I take another step
Over the edge
Pain
For the last time
I close my eyes
Never again the pain
Thank god for death
